Greeting, my name is Byung-tae Moon, the CEO of HWANGJO Co., Ltd.

Steel dust in the steel industry is a typical industrial by-products and around 400,000 tons per year is generated in Korea.

This steel dust is a valuable metal resource containing about 18 ~ 28wt% of zinc, but it is classified as a designated waste because it contains some harmful components such as lead.

Up until a few years ago, the entire amount went through landfill disposal process, which resulted in waste disposal costs of several hundred billion won or more per year, worsening the corporate burdens as well as secondary environmental pollution.

We have succeeded in separating and correcting valuable precious metals such as zinc in the form of zinc oxide from electric arc furnace dust with abundant technical know-how, field experience and the belief that we must achieve our goals. Now we possesses the production technology and equipment for it.

We have plan to export our superior products continuously to foreign recycling companies by producing high purity zinc oxide and building advanced production systems.

We will create a corporate culture that places the highest priority on environment and safety.

In addition, we will do our best to open a world where we can coexist with the environment by continuously developing eco-friendly technologies that enrich people's lives by practicing ESG management.
